What Not to do if You Are Involved in an Accident

Tuesday’s Takeaway…..

This video was taken outside my home at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, showing my friend’s vehicle being hit fromVideo photo of a hit and run accident on street below behind. Luckily, he was not in the vehicle when the crash happened. Without a second thought the driver immediately fled the scene (hit and run accident).

For accidents involving only property damage, a driver has a duty to: immediately stop his or her vehicle at the scene of the crash; notify the owner; provide identification and insurance information; and notify the nearest police department.

If this ever happens when you are driving, please don’t be like the person in the video and take responsibility for your actions.
