I (Jason Guari) have been on the local Board for the last seven (7) years and have had the privilege of serving as the past Chairman of the Board. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has invested more than a billion dollars in research to advance lifesaving treatments for leukemia and lymphoma patients. Because blood is easier to test than tissue, those LLS advances have and will benefit ALL types of cancer patients in the research world. I am proud to say that since LLS’s formation in 1949, survival rates in certain types of leukemia have tripled. There is still more work to be done and we are proud to be part of the LLS.
