Scott Murray, Jason Guari, Scott Perry and the entire team at MGP had the privilege of representing a wonderful husband and wife who were involved in a devastating collision with a tractor-trailer resulting in catastrophic, life-altering injuries for both of them.
Our clients were returning home from vacation when a tractor-trailer traveling in the opposite direction across a divided highway lost control, veered across the southbound lanes into the center median, and collided with the guardrail separating southbound and northbound traffic. The tractor-trailer then overturned and slid across the northbound lanes where without warning it blocked our clients’ path, causing an unavoidable collision at highway speed.
Below are photographs showing our clients’ vehicle imbedded in the roof of the overturned trailer that was completely blocking all of the northbound lanes and the extensive property damage to their vehicle.

They were both extricated from the vehicle and rushed by ambulance to the nearest Level 1 Trauma Center. Our clients were lucky to have survived this crash given the magnitude of the impact.
As you can imagine from the photographs above, the injuries to our clients were substantial and life threatening. Both required emergency surgeries to stabilize their condition before beginning the long road of recovery. Unfortunately, their quality of life will never be the same. Both our clients were seasoned in their careers, and those careers were forever altered due to their injuries.
Within days of the crash, we had a team of experts involved in the case to inspect the tractor-trailer, the tire on the trailer that blew out, and a trucking expert to opine that the truck driver failed to maintain control of his vehicle properly which led to the high-speed rollover. We combined that with personal visits to the scene, gathering of all social media, news media, police footage, and dash cameras of other vehicles near the scene to paint a picture of all of the failures on the part of the driver and trucking company who caused the crash. When faced with the realization that the evidence was not in favor of the trucking company, the team at MGP was able to force a tender of all coverages (underlying, excess, and luckily our clients also had Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage).
Additionally, through an offensive use of the current case law on bad faith, we were able to force the insurance company and the tortfeasor to tender all coverages to the benefit of our clients and to the exclusion of others who were also claiming damages.
While our clients would trade any amount of money to have never been involved in this horrible crash, they know that the team at MGP made sure that no stone was left uncovered in pursuit of full monetary compensation.
When injured through the fault of another, it is important to have a team, like those at Murray Guari Perry, who will fight for you and leave no avenue of recovery unexplored.
