West Palm Beach, FL – The Marcus family was enjoying their Orlando vacation when Mrs. Marcus stepped onto an unsecured drain cover at their hotel complex and fell, seriously injuring her back.
The Marcus’s were guests at the Parc Corniche Suite Hotel in Orlando when the accident occurred. To treat her injuries, Mrs. Marcus, age 46, required a discectomy to alleviate pain from herniated discs in her spine, as well as steroid injections. The pain from her back injuries continues today with numbness in one of her legs accompanied by radiating pain. Her health care providers predict that she will experience long term effects of the accident with months and years of recovery time.
“The carelessness of Parc Corniche Suite Hotel caused Mrs. Marcus to suffer injuries that will affect her for years to come,” said her attorney Jason Guari, managing partner of Murray & Guari Trial Attorneys. “The fact that a drain cover was not secured properly was a serious oversight on the part of the property management, and hotels have a responsibility to look after those who are on their premises.”

These injuries have affected her ability to work and function as she once did, and we have filed suit to help her recover damages for the medical expenses her family has incurred, as well as for lost wages, pain and suffering.”
